Are You Looking For Home Health Care In Palm Beach Gardens?

November is National Family Caregivers Month. This week, we sat down with Bernadette Uritis from In-Home Senior Care. Several years ago Bernadette Uritis, who was living in Pennsylvania, was trying to take care of her parents with home health aides in North Palm Beach County. Unfortunately, many of the people she hired were unreliable or didn’t care about her parents. So in 2009, Uritis, who was a business professional, decided “enough is enough” and moved down to Palm Beach Gardens and change careers to home health. She received her Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license and started her business, “In-Home Senior Care.” Besides she became certified in CPA and basic lifesaving methods. Uritis takes pride in working with the family of patients and goes the extra mile in making sure everything is going well with the patients. Typical tasks include help with daily activities, help running errands or doctor visits, assisting in physical therapy or just taking walks. Her…

Bala Boutique – South Florida Review’s Local Shopping Pick

With the holiday season approaching, are you looking for a boutique in the Jupiter/Tequesta area with reasonable prices and staff that is caring and friendly? Look no further than Bala Boutique. Bala Boutique is located in Tequesta, Florida at 354 Cypress Drive, Sweet 1, 33469. This boutique has been in operation for three years and currently has two eco-friendly locations. We sat down with the marketing manager, Jennifer Johansen, who has been with the organization since June of this year. “She was very passionate about a women driven market” Jennifer explains, as she speaks proudly about the owner, Donna Barnette. Jennifer’s pull towards the organization appears to be about something bigger than basic employment. Instead, it has to do with organizational culture and shared values she had with the owner of the Bala Boutique. “She loves giving back, we don’t necessarily profit on the things that we sell” says Jennifer, who has over ten years of experience under her be…

Need Groceries or Have an Errand in Jupiter? – Call the Errand Bunnies

Who do you call when you have an elderly relative that is homebound and needs groceries? If you live in Jupiter or Tequesta, you can call Errand Bunnies. They help people by saving them time and providing errand running for the low cost of just $29.99/hour or $10 if the job takes 20 minutes or less. Recently we sat down with Lexi Stuart, 21, co-owner and co-founder of Errand Bunnies.  She started “Errand Bunnies” in July with her best friend Eugenia Gonzalez, 20, after having a hard time finding someone to help Lexi’s grandmother. After a little research, Lexi and Eugenia saw an even larger need for someone to help run basic errands. They then pitched the business idea to their family, who responded by helping them get started. They bought two matching Chevrolet Sparks and wrapped them with their trademarked bright pink logos. Next, they visited offices and businesses, dropping off business cards and flyers. The Errand Bunnies have been positively received an…
