Jupiter parents issue warning about magnetic toys

JUPITER, Fla. - You may have seen magnetic balls in someone’s home or even received one as a holiday present.

They are mainly marketed to adults but children can easily grab them and accidentally swallow one or more.

One Jupiter family could have lost their son and they have a warning to other parents about the toys.

The Mariner family had a very busy holiday, starting with the Friday before Christmas when one-year-old Colt had the special opportunity to meet and be held by President Donald Trump at the airport -- but that night, things quickly changed.

“He had the best and potentially worst day of his two-year life," said Jason Mariner, Colt's father.

His parents had no idea that Colt accidentally swallowed toy magnetic balls.

Police find body at Jupiter Beach Park

JUPITER, Fla. -- Police are investigating the death of a person found at Jupiter Beach Park at the Jupiter Inlet.

Jupiter Police say they received a report about a person sleeping in the park. Upon investigation, officers learned the person was deceased.

Jupiter police search for armed robbery suspect

JUPITER, Fl. - The Jupiter Police Department has released surveillance video of an armed robbery suspect following an incident at the Shell gas station on West Indiantown Road around 1:21 a.m. Sunday. 

Officers responded to the 6800 block of West Indiantown Rd. shortly after the robbery where they met with an employee at the business who reported the suspect displayed a firearm and demanded money before fleeing the area on foot. 

The suspect's face was partially covered during the robbery but police were able to provide a description of an an Asian man in his 30s who is 5 feet 6 inches tall.
